Following on from the biscuits! thread, what's everyone's poison?

    My current fave:

Either the bottle is tiny or the pug is huge - you decide

I'm afraid I can't chime in on this one due to being a non-drinker

Zubrowka vodka for me. I'm not Polish but this green grass stuff is good, not the usual vodka anti freeze.
Always happy for a spiced rum tho. What do you mix that with?

A decent imported pilsner or helles lager; cold, crisp and fizzy!

Love a fresh pint of Guinness as well, but it’s generally crap in most places in England.

Neat, or diet coke. Though I saw a recipe for espresso rumtini earlier which is the kraken coffee, martini, and espresso so tempted to try that sometime

Me too - teetotal for 36 years!

Original ice cold Coca Cola from a can on a hot summers day is still my favourite drink. Don’t let anyone tell you different but it tastes different from a glass bottle and out of a glass from a 2 litre plastic bottle. I reckon it’s the liquid to air ratio. However, from a can into a glass is acceptable, preferably no ice if the can is cold enough.
Don’t get me started on sugar free, zero, diet or any of the other disgusting variants [:s]

Cold coke from a glass bottle is amazing.

    I agree with the variants

Used to be a Bacardi'n'coke man, drank far too much of it over the decades then stopped overnight about 4 years ago ... Wouldn't thank you for one now!

@PhilRyder You’re right, original from the can is the best, maybe something to do with no UV/light penetration?!

Only time I drink coke and spirits these days is at the airport. Couple of double JD and cokes at 5 in the morning and my anxiety has vanished!

Tried explaining that stuff tastes better from a glass bottle, and that lucazade used to come in a glass bottle with orange cellophane wrapped around it.

If I do drink anything which is rare, was tee total for 15 years, I'll have proper Somerset cider, non fizzy, from a real farm, usually from a barrel, but need to drink it in a couple days as goes off quickly.
Or Mead, a small shot of it, again from my fathherland, if you get chance go to Hecks in Street, Somerset and buy a bottle, along with a litre of Kingston black and pickled onions.

I'm a big fan of Robinson's lemon barley water with sparkling water and ice - that stuff puts hair on your chest.
