    Hi All,

My 8v GTI mk2 has quite a crusty brake servo, which is north of 200k old now.
I understand they dont fail often, but i'm keen to replace it with a new ATE - for cosmetic and reliability reasons.

    Two Q's

    1) Is this the correct part and part no:
    358 612 107 B (think i'm getting the hang of etka)
    brake servo - Golf(GO) [EUROPA 1990 year] (7zap.com)

Brake Booster ATE Fits VW Corrado Golf Mk2 Van Jetta II Mk Passat 35I 358612107 4006633137973 | eBay

    £170 seems a reasonable price

    2) What other parts are worth changing at the same time? (outside of master cylinder)
    Are there any vital seals?

A new 16v master cylinder will be an upgrade from the current one and gives a better pedal , possibly a new fluid reservoir if the current one is festy, and that's about it around the servo. There's no seals per se outside of the ones in those items.

Do the vacuum pipes tend to hold up pretty well?

Being plastic, yes, they do. Unlike the smaller ones used for engine vacuum.
