Yeah but retro styled 5 door Mk1's are becoming fashionable now. Think of all the stuff you could do to it, without dealing with the dreaded rust! It could be like the blue one with polished zender turbos, but brand new. How cool...
i like them yes, but there's just something about them thta looks really ugly, so i'd rather stick with a proper mk1 golf i'm assuming this is the citigolf yeah?
But think what other brand new cars you can get for less than 10 grand. There aren't any that I would consider. I think its a great idea, still in keeping with the original.
Great idea But you'd need new front wings and grille, and there's that weird crease in the rear pillar before it would like an ur-Mk1...
Polo dash isnt it? Good idea to get someone importing them properly. Just a shame they slightly ruined the styling with modern safety implementation, if theres such a thing in SA. And i so wish they did a 3 door version.
Why are they making this car? surely it must be cheaper to retool with the newer MK3 or 4 than re-engineer all the new stuff? reminds me of the whole Fiat 131 Miafuri reborn as a Lada saga a bit too much...
