I just found this: http://www.bulldogdsl.com/ They do 1mb broadband for 22.99, but theres a catch - its only 512k during working hours. I ordered it, seems a good deal to me! I'll let ya know how I get on I suppose. If anyone else thinks it sounds a good deal let me know im supposed to get money back if I recommend a friend - I'll split it with ya
damn! that is good. I've just ordered NTL 600k for more than that per month as well. Thing is it'll probably work out more expensive in the long run, because I have an NTL phoneline & digital tv which gives you a discount. obviously I need a BT line for that Bulldog BBand.
that's not the only catch. there's.. "A connection charge of 58.75 is applicable. " so that makes it (60/12months = 5) + 23 = 28 a month. not such a great deal as it would appear. full time AOL 1mb service is 30 a month, and 512k is 25 per month with no setup charges and a free modem.
well yeah there is the connection charge. But I'm thinking long term for this. And I already have the required modems etc. was originally looking at the equivalent 512k service thats only 15.99 a month! but that has a 2gb per month download limit
Blueyonder just upgraded my 1mb to 1.5mb for nowt They'll probably bump the price up in a couple of months tho
Bulldog have always been very good on price, although there were issues with their service a while back, I think they have been sorted now. Did you check ADSL Guide before you signed up ? For anybody looking for an ADSL ISP have a look in the forums section (message boards), they have all the UK ISP's in there, so you can get a first hand account from customers of what each ISP's is like.
