i may be going to look at a cheap cabby at the weekend.other than the usual stuff is there any potential nightmares specific to the cab to look out for? its an 83 1.8 gli(i thought glis were 1.6s before they bought out the gti )short mot and tax.worn drivers seat,good hood, possible suspect arches and dodgy clocks. asking 800(but i wont be paying that ) is that a fair price?
alby usual checks. A good condition hood may mean it has been replaced as the old one was fecked and had let water in. Check under the carpets for rot. Check the spare wheel well for rot. Obviously check the wheelk arches for obvious rot. Make sure you start the car from cold....do the usual checks... go there loking like you know what you are on about and the guy will feel he has to drop the price if you pick the faults to pieces good luck alan
