hi got a question to ask
i have a kent cam 285 with kent pully wheel my power band is from 2200 to 6200 i think.
ive had the head ported with bigger valves and stuff and a miltek 4 branch man.
the prob iam getting is the car will only rev to about 5500 so iam not getting the max power out of my cam.
i know the engine needs setting up on a rolling road for a tune now its all done but
some one has told me that its the ecu stopping it from rev more is this true.
if this is true any idea on how much it would cost to have the ecu remap so the cam can run at its best.
or wot will i need to have done to sort it all out.
this is on 1988 Ereg 1.8 8v gti digi
think it has the bosh ecu.
need to get it sorted asap

It could be your ecu or a timing issue we would really need to get it on the rollers to check what was going on.
