Hello camera heads, just need some advice/opinions. I really want a DSLR but can't stretch to 500+ at the moment so wondering if there's a good 'bridge' camera out there for 200-300 that will give good results for cars/landscapes.
If you don't want to spend much, I know someone who's got one of these for sale for 100 - its a great bridge camera (as close as you get to a DSLR) which you can use in full manual mode
I`d say if you really want a DSLR, then there`s no point spending 200-300 on a bridge camera. Decent DSLRs can be had second-hand for that kind of price.
DSLRs used get round the 300 just before they were disscontinued and still do by the looks: http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/75075/show.html http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/80042/show.html
I sold my Canon 1000d for 240 Second hand on ebay, i had it for 16 months but it was like brand new. A lot of people are selling these to move up a level or 2 and can be had for good money now and a great starting point. Which will allow you a bit of extra cash to buy a zoom lens or some goodies. A good link to second hand bodies from a quality retailer. http://www.mifsuds.com/acatalog/Used_Canon_EOS_Bodies.html
Deako was selling his Canon 500D with a load of kit with it. Check the adverts on here, when i spoke to him last it was still for sale. He might split the lot and you could get a really good DSLR for entry level money.
