I was sorting through some old CCC Magazines over the weekend and got sidetracked reading some of the old project Golf features. What happened to the cars? Does anyone know? There was the Mk2 VR6 they had - G331XLW (?) - and Dave Walker's colleagues silver Mk1 that they uprated the brakes and experimented with NOS and stuff on... Was just wondering!

The Mk 2 VR6 (IIRC done by TSR) was later owned by a lad called Harjit from Bradford - it got repainted/retrimmed and subsequently featured by PVW!

I was thinking exactly the same thing the other day as well. Oh, my missus thinks I'm SAD for keeping all my old Mags (Golf, PVW, CCC etc etc). Told her it's for reference material but I suppose 15 years worth is taking the take a leak ! ;) ! Anyone else got a BIg collection......... Darren W but you have !!!

Speaking of old CCC mags - I've found a copy from March 1993 with TSR's Mk1 G60 on the front cover. The reg is CPC 605Y. Has a Corrado G60 conversion tweaked to 205bhp, Mk2 16V 'box & Jamex suspension.

I have that one issue !! (This is gonna get sad !!). Went out in that car when Styles built it, went well, but the straight cut box was freaking noisy. Then they sold the lumo and the car seperately !! [:^(]

yeah that's it... I thought it was dark blue. Didn't it have blue edgeing round the grill or something? [:-B]

Of course, now I'm in the middle of sorting through them all, I've got no idea where that issue is to look for myself!

Yep, pretty sure it had blue edging on the grill. Was on the front cover of CCC form a front / side angle shot if I remmeber righlty parked on some concrete ? If I'm right then I'm even Sadder than I thought I was ;) the better one to lok for though must be the article on Awesomes G60 Mk1 in that lovely Blue colour where it wsa parked in the Quarry !!
