My mk3VR6 is a jap import and currently the clocks are in kph/ kilometers per litre, I was wondering if theres anyway to switch the digital readings over to mph/mpg? I have tried using rosstech but cannot seem to find any controllers for the dash on mk3. Saying this if I cannot swap the readings over by software recoding could I adjust the mileage on the new clocks to match the milage on my car?

to do either of the above you need to make a custom cable up and plug it into the back of the clocks, and recode/change milage with special software. Not easy, so I'd be trying to source a set with similar milage and just swap the clusters over

Hmm so it can be done, do you know how to make this cable by any chance and which software you can use to do this? I know there it an adaptor you can buy to change the mileage but i think its very pricey.

will be the same cable to do the milage i believe. ive got stacks of random software and they some of them suggest you make your own cable and hook it top the parallel port on your peecee or summat. i'm a bit sketchy on the details as its not something I've done or looked into in any great detail.

Just plug in a UK spec VR6 clocks. It should work only problem is the mileage will be different.

...you may also need the correct (UK) speed signal sender in the gearbox.
