I woke up at 4am to find a subaru stuck in the back of my golf still running, story goes like this - they baught a subaru to do a job in - stole a jcb to rip a cash machine out of the wall, wre spotted by the police as they were doing it and took a chase - lost it on my street and wrote my car off. unfortunately i am third party insured as fully comp was over a grand. this motor was lpg meaning i got 18 quid full tank that lasted all weeks work and personal mileage. have been working on it for a year as when i baught it was bog standard. it bloody hurts.
As I scrolled down through the first couple I didn't think it looked that bad ... but then I saw the daytime pic,
******s, insurance companies all pay into a pot that can be claimed out of by people that get hit by uninsured drivers? I know these nobs had stolen it but you could still be eligable? worth looking into anyhow. That was a really nice looking mk3, never liked multispokes on mk3's but it suited your car [:^(] on a brighter note, mk3's can be had very cheaply now - find a nice sorted 3dr and put the wheels and decent stuff from your current car over onto it?
crap... yours actually looked good too! i agree with that thingy said up there, just make another, theyre cheap as chips now. PS did any light come out of your headlights at all?
i am looking for another - have to drop the lump in it to make it worth while as its lpg, i am going through the mib thats the pot all insurers pay into, and no not much light came out but it wasnt too bad, i just got carried away when i stripped the light to paint it!!
You need to apply to the Motor Insurance Bureau http://www.mib.org.uk/Frequently+Asked+Questions/en/Default.htm I have known quite a few folk now, who have successfully, claimed for uninsured losses. Its worth a try
