    The translation of this is actually...

    Yi Chi - Da zhong

    Yi = First
    Chi = Car
    Da Zhong = populace

    So... it's basically a literal translation of Volkswagen...eg 'Peoples Car'

    There are aparently two Volkswagens in China

    http://www.faw-volkswagen.com/

    And

    http://www.volkswagen.com.cn/

    FAW is actually a state owned company that licences the rights from VW to produce their older models whereas the other one is the 'real' volkswagen making the newer cars..

    That explains the curious mix of old and new. Like Daewoo and the old Vauxhaul Astra. They licence the old body shape but have used newer components to bring it more up to date.

    And guess what I have coming from china :)

    I've also got the same handles as passat16v and jettaman....they're superb, much better than the standard Mk2 handles IMO!
    Only cost $30 inc postage from the US too..... :thumbup:

    Did I hear my name mentioned

    Door handles are chinese spec,bought via cullen off Vw Vortex. (arrived from the far east)

    My M3 light where bought from Bob Lee who hails fromHong Kong, PLUS he did send me the wrong ones at first, which where the chinese spec redish ones.

    and I have just emailled him and asked him to forward me a price for the rear badge set up.

    and I will let you know the score once I have fitted my set :) :) ;)
