chipping a 1.8t

    Has any one had any problems chipping a 1.8t gti mk4. Also did the chip void the warrenty and where can i purchase a chip that can be turned on and off.

    Not heard of any horror stories as such, but the 20vt is more than capable of handling few extra hp. Sounds like you'd benefit from a revo with sp switch. Undetectable by vag also [:D]

    Revo or APR Europe will fit an invisable chip.

    REVO is'nt a chip its a Reflash of the cars ECU.. chip free chipping [:D]
    If drive by wire you also get the options of switchability too to enhance or turn down the power.

    If non dbw you can only switch it to std power, and not adjust boost, ignition, have immobiliser etc.. but its cheaper. :)
