Manual says to put it vertically on the front or rear screen, but it just looks stupid. How effective will it be if I mount it horizontally don the edge? or should I just try it and see and hope I can remove the sticky pad if I need ot move it?
it seems ok on the front, dont really notice it there, but mine has just gone wrong whether its to do with the placement i doubt it Edited by: nutter4x4
when stud put my clifford in admittidly its a g4 he put it horizontal under the dash....works a treat
I'll try a few locations and see what the reception is like. I've just got it sat on top of the dash at the moment ad it works from the other end of the street! Another thing, the wiring insturctions tell me to wir it to the "parking lights" surely they mean the indicators?
Cliffords are american, so it just an english/american swappy over lanuage thingy. You can wire it to flash whatever you want.
yeah, I just wanted to check I wasn't wiring in the headlight activation to the indicators! I'm going to put the aerial in the dash, above the lcocks and see how it works there. it seems to be working well on top of the dash, so I can't see it being any worse under it.
i take it your handy with that sort of thing.... i have a g5 gathering dust in a box in the kitchen that needs fitting
