    Hello
AC stopped working now and my climatronic screen flashing

I'd heard about a sequence to hold recirc button and press fan speed to get some message on the screen but I might have done it wrong
    Any ideas???
PS no access to VAGcom currently

    thanks in advance

one is to do with the flaps and the other is the pressure switch ie pressure low or high most likey no gas
if the pressure is ok then its a duff pressure switch
a list of the codes below
vag-com will tell you much the same if you get it scanned

    4F7 (Temperature Flap Servo Motor)
    4F8 (Central Flap Servo Motor)
    4F9 (Fresh Air Blower)
    4FA Recirculation Flap Servo Motor)
    318 (Air Conditioner Pressure Switch)

the flaps not working is common some times you can hear them clicking if they are sticking

Narrowed it down to 318 which is pressure switch

Had system regassed on Saturday- so I know that thats good

Passed leak test etc so I'm hoping that its a faulty switch

Im told its behind passenger headlamp

Would I need to de-pressurise the AC system?

you could try clearing the fault code first just to be sure before you de gas it
if the code comes back straight away you know for sure it's the switch

i would also check the wiring for the switch first as well

if the ignition was on during regas it would see that fault, cos there was no pressure in it!

the servo motor common, I'd normally run basic setting couple of times, the re-circ motor is the one never used
pulling the unit may make basic setting happen, I do it on VCDS everytime

Eye it the recirculation motor that's gone on mine
It not bad to fix it's just getting at it in the first place
I was thinking about taking the dash out to make easier to get at
