Code reader

    Hi,im looking to buy a code reader or vagcom seen a few on ebay but wondering wots the best one to get . Have been told a maxscan vag405 is quite good.
    Any idears would be helpful [:s]

    Ps would be used on a 95 mk3 16v to start with

    if you have a laptop a 10 usb vagcom cable will do you

    Yes but any idear which one? always a bit warey of buying these things unless i know more about them.

    just search for vagcom, sort by cheapest price first and buy one that specifically says it supports your version of windows. they're all pretty much the same just different colours :lol:

    if you want it quicker select to only search for uk sellers, as most of the ones you find will come from hong kong. plus if you have issues its easier to deal with a uk seller than a chinese bloke

    All the ebay listings I look at mention paying for a licence for the software, do people manage without doing this? ;)
