ive just got through my new toys [:D]

pu tthe back ones on and noticed the lower i go the looser the springs will become when the car is jacked up... isnt the a failure because thats why you dont chops spring due to the way they become loose if the car was to go around a sharp corner at a fast speed.

    Is this right??

They jack the car up to check wheel bearings etc, if the springs are loose they`ll probably fail it.

You can fit helper springs to keep the main springs snug at low settings, they just comprss when the car on it`s wheels.

Sounds like you already have helper springs fitted then!

How low are you going, I think I can drop to 80mm on the koni`s with no helper springs before they start to loosen off.

I used to have an Opel Manta (at least it was German)and the springs on the back were loose when jacked up. In fact, if you undid the lower shock mount you could change the springs.

Anyway, I used to tie wrap the spring to the lower mount, just so it would sit properly when the car was lowered again. Went through the MOT like that for years. Unless they have changed the rules !

well took the car out today for a test run and found that the tyres were rubbing against the springs as ive wound them down a bit lol
think im going to need spacers now its 1 thing after another, next it will be bolts. [:s]
