I need to change the coolant in my 1.6 MK2 tomorrow. I was looking at it a min ago and was wondering how I drain it? Is it a case of just disconnecting a hose from the radiator? and if so, which one!
bottom hose on the rad and if you wanna do it right, get the stat out too so that you can flush the old stuff out da block
I take off both rad hoses, hose on the bottom of the header tank, the hose on side of the head and the one on the rear of the metal pipe. (on these 2 hoses if the bypass valves are fitted, take the valves out instead) then get a hose pipe and stuff it into each and every hose you have disconnected, blast it thru on full blast till the water comes out clear. edit: yes thats the one everyone is on aboot
