sorry last question.. did any of the corrados come with air con or climate? looking on trader and egay noone seems to mention it... it seems a bit strance for a mk3 VR6 to have it and a corradoVR6 not to have it.. cheers
Air con was never a factory option on the Corrado but some dealers offered it as a retro fit option and the most common (possibly only) make fitted was Diavia. Not many owners went for the option so it is quite rare. I've only ever seen a handful advertised with it over the years. A few owners have fitted the AC from the golf Mk3 and a couple of folk have fitted the electronic climate control from the Mk4 golf.
I never got round to doing it on my Corrado so not sure of the actual costs involved but expect it to be between 1000 & 1500 pounds if you use a professional fitting company such as http://www.car-aircon.co.uk/ or http://www.air-conditioning-installers.co.uk/geoglist.htm Have a look on the Corrado forum.
