Just want to double check on here with people who know their stuff.im in the process of rebuilding A 1.8 EV engine.my crank is out and it isn't good(scored up on the mains). I could get it ground but I've got the chance of another with near perfect journals its from a 1.6 diesel jk code engine. I'm told this is ok to use as the stroke is the same 86.4 and the mains are 54 and big ends 47.7. Can anyone confirm this is ok/ right to use.thanks
The crank for the diesel is a different part number to the petrol cranks of the same era. I do not know why. For an EV motor, you can use the crank out of a DX, PB, PF, GX, KR, ADL and so on. Those are fairly common to soruce.
