Custom Made Arches - 20vt Project

    Here we go . . .
    i have started a 20vt project
    have done widetrack and have had some problems with wheels
    every wheel i like does not fit the way i want
    so the only option was try something different
    i ended up widening the wings
    first was to cut the arch leaving one inch in each corner
    and pulling on the wing till i got the arch to where i wanted it
    to sit.then welding in a plate grind the welding back.
    skim of filler and we-heee we have wide arches.
    saying that i am not putting the plastic arches back on.
    here is some pictures -tell me what you think?

    Seems to be the season for Mk2 arch work :thumbup:

    Just finished the third wheel arch . . nearly there

    God I hate people who can do that kind of thing (in a jealous sort of way) if I tried doing that it would look a proper mess.

    Lovely work though.

    right here is some more pictures of the arches sealed from inside and stone chiped.
    fitted with fk coilovers and sat back on the floor.

    They look really good :thumbup:

    Wouldn't mind something like this on mine, but think it would definitely suit small bumpers :-)

    here is some more pictures of the car in base paint
    and then in laquer. the only thing left is to maybe put some
    side skirts on,and to wrap the roof in matt black.

    very nice build thread so in detailed pictures.
    did my with audi tt 225 engine its an animal especially on country roads
    when it realy comes alive.
    once finished you'll love it.
