Its not going to be a piece of copper tube job like you might expect from me, i'm going to get a mate who makes all kinds of weird and wonderfull stuff out of metal to make one for me. The plan is to get it painted black and fit it so it looks like its meant to be there.

I need some advice first though:

Should i make it out of round of square section metal?
    Which metal?
Should i bolt it or weld it to the car?
Are the strut tops the best place to fix it or do manufacturers just bolt then there for easy fitting?

    Any other tips/advice or do's/dont's?

I would make it out of aluminium for weight. Have a round cross section for strength and I would attach it with a round disc that fits over the top of the strut, with those funny screws that you normally get with a strut brace to attach it arround the strut.#

    Make me one too!

    Cheers ;)
