I think although it is very other the top, his level of dedication is amazing. It's called detailing and he's done a good job of going into detail! It's what he enjoys and what he does - he does it well. At least he doesn't have sex with it like those guys do to Beetles..

I agree that this guy is VERY obsessive, and things such as seeing his two mates hover around his car with SLRs snapping pictures of minute paint imperfections, and screenshots of his PC software that actually logs the paint thickness readings really are far too much. But the quality of some of the work is brilliant. And SMD does not stand for 'surface mount diode'.

slightly off topic but, has anyone read the details of the nurburg edition vxr? these are the differences so the nurburg edition (remebering nurburg is a race track) has exactly 2 race features over the stadard car light alloy wheels exaust system does no one find that really funny? bascially it looks to me like your paying extra for leather seats the afore mentioned wheels and exhaust and a trip to halfords for some stick on sh*t wtf they didnt even use actual carbon fiber - who buys this ****e? no wonder there only making 800 of them, there are only 800 idiots stupid enough to pay for them! unless they are less 1000 in price difference which would cover the cost of the nice seats whats the point?

this has to sum up this guy tho, he changed the exhaust (one of only two usefull features on his limited car) from the one on the left to the one on the right as the one on the left "is too xr3i" wait for it here we go ................................seriosuly..................WTF?

oh my god i keep reading and it gets worse next plan on the horizon after changing the limited exhaust, changing the colour of the limited wheels (to look like halfords crome wheels) is.... rip apart the custom leather intirior what a feckin idiot, next he will be removing the squares on the body and fitting crome mirrors he may aswell have kept the standard car!
