looking at the V6 now, only an extra 100 a year over the insurance costs of the anni.

Bora's have come with 1.8T lumps since they were released! Just the same as the Golf. First came the 150BHP version, now the 180bhp one.

And yes, the V6 is a 6 speed, aswell as 4WD.

You may wanna look into the V5, the manual V5 is a good under-rated car, the Auto's are terrible though! Just a shame there isn't many off the shelf tuning options with the V5 lump.

No! Boras only came with a 1.8T lump after 2001.

Then only the Bora ST and Bora Sport came with 150bhp 1.8T engines.

They are now available with either 150 or 180bhp 1.8T engines

Only the TDI 115/130/150bhp and the V6 come with 6 speed boxes. The rest including the 1.8T's (except the new 180bhp 1.8T) come with 5 speed

Not sure about that...when I bought this one 1.8Ts were holding their value much much better than the V6 (which I wanted anyway). Though will still be cheaper than the equivelant Golf
