The other day I disconnected the battery to take out the abs unit on my mk2 8v. And now the temp bar flashes up and down all the time and wont stop. even does it all the time im driving! i have checked the connections and all seems ok! has anyone got any ideas?? [:^(]
Hmmm, not many people have them... I can think of Jetta Man, Bahnstormer and yourself at the mo. Maybe one of them knows?
If you ground out the + wire on the temp sender does it go to full heat? If you loop the two wires it should go down to cold or zero (water temp only). If you have no fluctuation when you do this my money is on the sender. Not sure if your talking about oil temp or water temp but the pricaple is the same. Edited by: Vento Mike
