I have just picked up a full exhaust system and 4 branch manifold for my mk2.

I have read that the car should then have a solid front mount fitted to avoid issues with the 4 branch.

Can anyone running a 4 branch on a mk2 16v shed any light on this before i shell out more cash! [:D]

    The opinion varies.....

Out of the people I have known running them the ones that didn't have probs had a sprung bolt connection joining the exhaust. If your manifold just connects to the exhaust then it may be worth getting a solid mount. I've run a 2.5 twin-box Jetex mated to a Miltek for 4 years with worn engine mounts and I've had no problems however hard I've booted the car.

    Cheers man!

someone else mentioned should be okay if the 4 branch needs a flexi (which mine does) then that would "flex" and take the strain.

Anyone else any words of wisdom!
