Door speakers

    i'm trying to fit some 5 1/2 inch speakers into my front door without cutting the doorcard. it looks like something should fit intside the door pod but i can't find anything on etka that looks like it will speakers....

    How do the stock ones screw in? wot size are the stock ones in a 1990 mk2 golf

    5 1/4 is right ...there should be a speaker panel that goes where the pocket used to be..there is one screw at the bottom

    Im doing this at the moment (got mine a off a bloke off here but awesome sell the pair for 14). They have the same sort of speaker attachement as the rears. I am also wondering if the door cards need to be cut for them to fit?

    p.s should the speaker covers screw have a cover over it?

    no the screw doesnt have a cover(use a black screw)..it depends what speakers you have,low wattage cheep to mid price go straight in..big wattage ones tend to have a big magnet and may need the card triming a little

    ok so i'm missing abit that goes inside the whole. I've got the outer speaker cover....with 1 black screw in the bottom but there isent anything inside there.

    it should have 4 plastic legs that the speaker sits over...same fitment as the rears

    u think i will need to cut for Phoenix gold qx130 comps?
