Are they all the same for 8v gti?
I had one “in stock” but when I went to fit it last night o found it doesn’t fit, can’t remember when or where I got it from bit it’s not for this engine
Just thought I would check before ordering another one after having to fit a g60 inlet mainifold gasket that there isn’t anything strange with our engine

the one you have looks to be mk1 golf, the mk2 8v, 16v and g60 plus many mk3 all use same size gasket :)

Cheers Johnny. I did wonder, i will get on to heritage and order one.
There is no panic it started off by dropping the exhaust to change a battery tray, now stripped bubbling paint to find holes down one side, interior is out to change a split fuel filler neck to find cab floor bad, a just job is turning into a resto
Still finding some cool og paint and old dents image.jpg

    It’s heart is
It’s a pb engine code running t25 1.6d sump and bell housing using golf internals in t25 oil pump housing to get the pick up working through a standard 1600 bay box with t4 rad between the chassis rails still on stock bay brakes at the mo
Pulls about 110 flat out with about 7sec 0 - 60 not to bad for a vag parts bin machine

Cool, it’s a nice conversion, all off the shelf bits and all vag. It’s one of the best ones I’ve done, for ease of parts anyway. Ours was done 6 or 7 years ago and not been touched since apart from basic services
