It was about 1998 last time I cared about this kinda thing. Working with a mechatronics student last night who had a problem using electronic workbench software to run a programme for a IR receiver receiving a 5Khz pulse modulated signal into a dual 555 cmos. He couldn't get it work using the programme. My background is a bunch of nvq's and C&G's from 1995 to 1998. My approach from learning by doing would have been to break out the breadboard and an oscilloscope but with none available I couldn't help. Anyway thoughts on why it wouldn't work?
