Does anyone know if these are any good? I need to remove my manifold due to blowing gaskets and just thought about getting one of these! It's for my Mk2 VR6. Here's a link.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CORRADO-VR6-N...ryZ38786QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I've got one on my mk2 VR - Make sure you wrap it tho... It looks shiny unwrapped but it will melt everything rubber/plastic that's near it
However my mk.2 one apparently doesn't fit with a PAS rack so i may have to return it if it wont go on. Heres some pics of the mk.2 one anyhow. Super fast delivery and competitive price tho.
I've noticed these and they are certainly very shiny... Always appealing... Beezy, can you post if this doesn't fit with yer PAS, would be interested to know...
I have a Mk2 16V - apparently it fits just fine on the left hand drive versions of the cars - you need to get to the proper side of the road! :-). The 16V version is more or less a copy of Super Sprints manifold for the 16V - so should be ok performance wise. Build quality looks nice - they take the time to grind the welds and so on, not much spray, etc. Only issue I found is a bit of a tight fit over the studs - but it'll be manageable - especially considering the price. Delivery from the belgish guy "Tuningleader" was only a few days to Denmark.
Just submitted my best offer of 140 quid and was accepted! GVK, where did you get your exhaust wrap from, and how much did you pay for it? How much will i neeed?
erm... surely three of those primaries on the VR6 manifold should be a fair bit shorter due to the unequal exhaust tract lengths within the head or does the picture not clearly illustrate this? Cant complain given the price though!
This is a cheap manifold. A custom application specific manifold would take the unequal exhaust ports into consideration. I've not seen a VR6 camshaft set with enough overlap to allow any exhaust scavenging, so I'd just go with one of these. Those chineese ladies who make these can weld very nicely too Lee
Arrived this morning, and very nice it is too! Time to get some exhaust wrap. Does anyone know where to get a good deal on some, or recommend a particular make? Not sure whether to book it into Powerflow to make the rest of the system or buy a Jetex that may not fit to the manifold. Any suggestions?? !!
