    Hi All,

After some advice, have a MK2 with factory fitted electric windows, I’ve noticed that the 2 switches are always lit up and work the windows, even with the ignition is turned off and key out, think this maybe the cause of a draining battery after a few weeks.

Any ideas or tips on what might be causing this ??

    thanks

first check how they are wired, oem looms have a relay above the fusebox to power them up. may be simple as moving the switched live to relay from permanent live to ignition live. what fusebox have you got, if unsure where is the hazard switch?

OK thats the CE2 fusebox then. The live to relay should be to one of the Y spades, ignition to D plus 8, 9, 11 is standard:

if there is no relay then ideally you want to wire one in rather than just moving the switch power to ignition, the windows will put too much load on the feeds and you'll pop fuses
