hello what engine oil is recommended for a high mileage mk2 1.6 (about 300k km) in a warm-hot climate? i've been using 15w-40 LM for couple of years but thought maybe 20w-50 will be better? the engine is quite noisy when warm, especially from the sump area, sometimes it has this wheeping sounds, but it doesn't use a lot of oil.
