hi i have recently had my mk3 gti 8v engine rebuilt at the engine shop in kent but unfortunatly my engine has come back and within 20miles has stopped getting oil to the head i have had this looked at by a well qualifed mate and he agrees with the rebuilders that there is a blockage of some sort in the oil gallery going from the filter housing to the head. just a quick question to how awkward would this be to clear and does any1 have any ideas why this has happened ? replies very much appreciated get me golf back on the road lads

I would have thought that they would have cleaned the oil galleries as part of the rebuild. Just need to get a bit of cloth on the end of a thin bar and use it with a leccy drill.

I've always been told engine rebuild = new oil pump!
