I have a MK2 Jetta 1.3 2G engine, in another post about tuning a 1.3 Ryder, Jimbob mentioned fitting a Weber off a Ford Escort, Topic: mk2 1.3 ryder though which carb would I need as Weber list the 32 DMTR as being the replacement for a 28/30 2E3 though 1.4 Escorts use either the 28/30 DFTM 1986-1990 or 2830 TLDM 1990-1991.

Is it possible to get an adappter for my air filer to convert the Weber to a Pierburg mount (I know it comes with the full kit) or can I get a weber base for my filter, a Piper Cross PX3000?

    Thanks

Normally I would agree with you on buying the full kit but 235 is a lot of money when I want to fit a Polo G40 engine in 12 months time (once I've had my licence for 1 year my insurer will allow me to go to 120 BHP.)

If the car is going to get an engine swap, then I'd just get a second hand (known to be working) carb from a breakers to tide you over.

I'm assuming you need a new carb as your isn't running correctly?

That's the right carb for the job with all the fittings though. Rear bench has armrest.
