thats one of my best photos . it took about 5 cars to get what i wanted. the big shame is i was trying to get that shot but of Colin McRae in his mk 2. but never mind.

not sure what that is ?
it was taken in manual setting (m) just playing with the shutter speed and the point when i took the photo. a lot of people ask if i was using my wide angle but it was taken with a std 18-75 lens on a nikon d70.

dodd came 3rd on the rally it was from 2007 ;)
ive been sifting through a few more . i will put them up over the next few days.

Tv = Time Value (another way of saying 'Shutter Priority')
Basically, you choose the Shutter Speed and let the camera decide the Aperture.
Results will vary based on your ISO and whether you've dialed in any Exposure Compensation.

Using 'Tv' instead of 'M' will result in you having a pretty-much point-and-shoot technique as soon as you've settled on a favoured shutter speed for a particular race/track/whatever.
    Nice and quick.

My photos are usually like that too...

I'm off down to Devon this week so i'll see what i can come up with; some fantastic sunsets over Lundy Island last time, but its the wrong time of year for that at the moment!

    I've got a Panasonic Lumix TZ4

These were taken at the Scottish Motorsport Show, shortly before Colin McRae died. He was driving some of the cars, and bikes, along with Robbie Head, can't remember which ones are of Colin driving.

I know Colin Mcrae had an Escort as I spoke to him on the phone about tyres for it!

P.S those quads look like fun!

R.I.P; a true rally legend and inspiration to many present and up and coming rally stars.

A few snaps last year from the Silverstone Classic of some Group B cars. Not quite on a 'proper' rally stage but still... :)
