Fibreglass panels...

Does anyone know where i could get fibrglass panales from for my Mk2?

Specifically wings and boot...

ahh, they only list mk1 Golf panels

fibreglass or carbon 'hoods' here,in the states though,obviously

 

AW tracksport do bonnet and bootlid I think - never seen wings for sale in UK

 

I knew of two people doing bonnets - one one this forum a while back and also a rallyman I know of.

 

There is a bloke in West Malling Kent Colin Billings (drives a monster mk2 rally car )he has the bonnet and boot lids, Better than the crap ones going about at the moment

 

That's who I was thinking of. He had 10 done or so - not sure how many left.

I can dig him out if you need me to.

Mattig do carbon fibre bonnets, boot lids and bumpers (unfortunately not the original design). Boot lid weighs 4.5kg apparently, without the glass, but it does cost 650

I know a chap who has not 1 but 5 Mk 2 golf bonnets up for sale,

let me know if anybody is interested,

They are mega light,

 

Colin emailed me two weeks ago to say he's got the bonnets not to sure about the bootlid.

Yeh but he went fishing in a ditch with it, He'd done quite a bit of damage but its up a running again.
