    FINALLY they are in!!!

    FK leather Racers Pic 1

    FK leather Racers Pic 2

After a bit of modification to the subframes and runners, and a bit of drilling, I finally got round to fitting these seats that I ordered from the Gwent VW group buy, which had been sitting in my garage for a month or so! There was a bit of confusion with the subframes between Gwent and FK, but it's sorted now - and who I am to complain?! - I got the 2 seats, subframes and runners for 450!! Bargain! (Originally 499, but 50 discount for making me wait for the frames)

I also ordered some harnesses which bolt to the rear seatbelt clip mounting points and am impressed with the sturdiness of the whole set-up - there is NO movement/rocking whatsoever! Well happy! :)

Big thanks to ValverPaul for organising the group buy!

Seats look fantastic!! Nice to see you did both as having 1 bucket and 1 standard seat looks a bit strange

v nice indeed, do you recon they'd fit a fat b@stard like myself comfortably? Or are they only for normal sized people?

do they do a fat b@stard version?

Cheers for the comments everyone! :)

Recardo; If you ordered through the group buy you should get them at 499; That includes the subframes the runners and the seats. Considering the retail price is 280 per seat, which doesn't include the frames/runners, I think it's a pretty good deal!

I didn't know they did leather ones either, until I was browsing their website one afternoon. :)

    FK Automotive

They do the 'Speed' style in leather too, but went for the 'Racer' in the end.

Chris H; I can get some pics up tomorrow. They are Sparco frames that had to be slightly modified to fit. Drill a few holes, chop a few bolts etc... but it's all safe and sturdy. :)

 PMSL!! Unless you were massively obese, I think you'd wedge yourself in there fine! - You may have problems getting out though; Just make sure the frame is bolted down well and you shouldn't take the seat away with you! ;)
