Can a reg or vin be used to find out the colour code from my Scirocco mk3?

Not looked but is it on the service sticker for example? I've not seen another Scirocco in this colour.

I guess you have looked in the boot for the sticker with all the relevant info. If it’s still there it should be stuck to the metalwork somewhere. Other than that it could be in the original service book if you still have it?

Until I saw the picture, then failing the other labels I'd have suggested looking for what I term a 'body tag' - not the VIN plate, but a bar-coded plate fixed somewhere at the front of the car. e.g. Golf 2 and 3 had theirs near the r/h headlight, giving two different methods; Tornado Red being the familiar LY3D and also G2.

There may be a sticker giving the code inside the mirror shells. Though whether they're easily detached I couldn't say.

I could probably have found it with VIN, still could double-check if you want. PM it if you don't want to post in thread. Will be tomorrow now before I revisit.

Slightly off topic but does anyone make replacement data stickers?
