Fire up the Quattro!!

    Last Saturday afternoon my mates Audi 90 Quattro had an engine fire, he thinks it was an electrical fault, he managed to push it away from his neighbours cars and houses and almost got the fire out before the fire brigade turned up.

    you can see how this started in pic 4,trying to warm his slippers up
    seriously tho what a shame looked like a very tidy motor,i remember one of the techs where i used to work had a 90 Q and that went up in flames

    Sad end to any car.....tell him to look on the bright side at least the hole thing never went up.

    Just noticed that. What was he trying to do? Beat it out with his slipper?... :lol:

    Seriously though, respect to him for getting it out the way of his neighbours` cars. :clap: Too many people would have just sat and watched the lot go up.

    :lol: at the slipper.

    Apparently they went flying off his feet as he was running around with the water.:lol: The good bits of the car are getting stripped and sold, but as you can see in the 3rd picture the firemen pumped the dash with water too so the interior's a bit wrecked.

    gutted ,but you did do well to save so much of the car, they soon burn to a crisp
