Right then, once i have my hands on a set of plastic sill skirts, i need to get an idea of how to fit them ? As mine is a Driver there is nothing there to clip them to !

I basically need to know what parts i need to fit them, and how they go together.

    Any info would be great.

    Cheers

you need to buy the strip and clips that the sill clip into
both have self adhesive tape on them

i have a brand new set for mine i can get some pictures up
will have a look at the part numbers
the sills also have two holes for rivets inside the jacking covers

    the strips are 191 853 941 you need 2 17.20 each
the clips are 191853913 you need 10 3.90 each

you also get sill foils that stops the sill rubbing the paint

I might have some of the clips at the garage if you find they are obsolete at the dealers.

I have a set of good condition sills. I can't quite work out if you need them or just the rest.

Also the strip that fixies to the sill (the strip the clips hang off) lines up with tabs on the arches.

What about the rivets, can sill covers be refitted without drilling these out? If not, does anyone know the part number or size rivets to use?

As i have the whole 90 spec kit now, i was having a look at how it all goes together.

I have a set of genuine sill strips, pictured here -

Now what the best procedure when fitting these ?

Is it easier to fit the sill strip to the clips on the skirt first, then offer it up to the sill, as this is the only way i can see it lining up ?

Also, when fitting the arches, do i fit them first then the skirts, or the other way around ?

Sorry for the novice question but i want to get it right first time around.

    Cheers

im not sure but i think you fit all the clips and strips to the skirts then offer it up to the car
you have a few rivits as well

the skirts are sided ie RH and LH
i would offer them up a few times before you take the backing off the strips and clips
just to see how they fit so you get it right

Yea thats a good idea, cheers mushy

Ive ordered some genuine rivets for the arches so should have some left for the skirts.

Do they need a rivet either end ?

You want to fit the arches before the sill fixing strips, there are tabs on the arches that the sill strip lines up with. I'll try and find a pic. Then i'd fit the clips to the strips and finally knock the sill onto the clips
