I got blue rear clusters on my '89 Driver and need a red bulb for the back fog light, 'cos the white one that's in shines through white.

Can't find one to fit, but the chap at the garage said to paint a white one with red paint.

What paint? Anything special? And won't painting it red make it dimmer?

ive bought blue bulb paint before in car shops that works well, you need to put it in the oven to bake it one but dunno if they do red cant say ive ever seen it but this was ages ago.

or have you tried asking at the counter, they sometimes have bulbs that arnt in the shop part

mate did his indicator bulbs with orange nail varnish, they shine pink but nail varnish is an idea for you
