    Hi all,

Just noticed that both of the rear bolts are missing on the front subframe
921CA417-7F50-4F5B-87D2-B1E386976E3E.jpeg It’s missing on both sides I’m not sure if they where ever there since I bought the car

Does anyone know what sized bolt should it be?

it also looks like it’s quite a way from being lined up with the hole?

    thanks

Is the subframe original to the car? Those rear tabs are normally only seen on golf G60’s or corrados. If your car isn’t a G60 The sub frame might have been swapped out at some point.

Yeah not sure if it was original myself, it’s got a vr6 in it if that means it has to have a different subframe?

Mk3 had the extra ears too I think, don't think there are the threads in my car there even, and it's a late one.

May have had whole vr6 subframe swapped, so has correct style rear mount.

As dodgy said that's a golf mk3 or mk3.5 subframe, so has the extra rear mounting holes unlike the mk2

Yep, my MK3 subframe has those extra bits. You can cut the extra length off if you want to. The holes do not line up on a MK2

My mk2 failed on those bits when I fitted a mk3 subframe. I chopped them off and it passed
