Ok, to kick off, its not a golf so bear with me!Not sure what oher section to try!

    Its a '96 SEAT Cordoba 1.6 8v crossflow thing.
firstly, when I'm filling it up at the pump, the pump will cut out very easily ie I have to fill VERY slowly. Secondly, sometimes when accellerating it seems to hold back and other times goes very well with healthier induction noises:thumbup:

I suspect both problems to be breather/fuel related but I'm not sure where to start!
A glance on Vagcat shows a "carbon filter" unit down in the front wing; could this be the issue?, should I bypass it? are there other breathers? Does anyone have any experience of this problem who could shed any light?

    Cheers in advance
    Phil
