As above. Speak to Darren at g-werks. He knows his G60's inside and is very helpful. www.g-werks.co.uk

They became a bit too commercial and lost their eye for detail. They chasing the money nowadays, ie 1.8T.

John at JMR in West Sussex is fantastic. He used to be a main dealer and now does G60 based VW maintenance and tuning on the side. He fabricates a lot of his own bits and know's G60's inside out. With me he gave me a free 4 hour inspection of the car to recommend what needed to be done. He went over it with a fine tooth comb and then advised acordingly. I bet you won't get that service from Jabba! He's on 07974020031 if you're interested.

Another thing, Jabba's stage 4 chips are rubbish and over fuel. Do your mods and get a custom chip burned specific for your car. One size fits all chips are a waste of money.

seems like a lot without boring out to a 1.9 and flowing head, possibly with a smaller pulley, but thats just my opinion :)

G60's always seen to under-perform on the rollers.

It takes one hell of alot of work to get them putting out over 200 bhp

Jabba don't seem interested in G-laders anymore. I'd also recommend Pitstop/G-Werks. I've got a few parts down there at the moment being fettled.

I have to say that I have still found Jabba to be more than helpful.

Mike has never in my opinion been over friendly but Brian more than makes up for it.

The spec you quote is about right for the power.

haha, usually its the other way round. Mike can talk cars til he's blue in the face, he loves talking about ideas on different routes for power, mods, experimenting, etc..

Why not look at replacing the G-Ladder with an Eaton/Rootes blower as they make more power standard, are more reliable units, newer design, sound better and can take more boost.....................you are going to pay 800 odd for a rebuild, so why not put that towards a new charger? Better basis for 230bhp IMO

Also well worth speaking to John at JMR - also in Rustington near G-Werks, he is the only person allowed to touch my G60 Rado and has built an awesome 16V G60 Rado - what he doesn't know about the G-Lader isn't worth knowing - very friendly, helpful and well priced too.

He can be contacted on 07974 020031
