Refitting a tsr 4branch to the engine and just wondering what the torque is for the nuts? I dont want to just tightening them and risk snapping a stud. Also is there any point in using thread lock or will the heat just burn it off?
I'll call to vw later and see if they have any. Engine's hopefully going in tomorrow so will it be ok to re-use the old ones??
locking nuts also work ok ive found with the nylon incert it doesnt melt surprizingly, the studs on my mk3 are so small its hard to not snap them lol.
tell em these numbers: N 900 850 01 - hex nut, self-locking - 0.35 x8 and if it wont search in their software, tell em to type it exactly like this: N 90085001 (2 spaces between the N and the number) and if they wanna look it up: Golf -> 1990 -> 02 - fuel, exhaust, cooling -> exhaust manifold, PL,KR,PG -> number 6 or can type it up at the top model - GO year - 1990 MG - 2 SG - 53 Illustration - 70-05
