    Refitting a tsr 4branch to the engine and just wondering what the torque is for the nuts?

    I dont want to just tightening them and risk snapping a stud.

    Also is there any point in using thread lock or will the heat just burn it off?

    I just nip them up by feel, use new standard copper nuts from vw or gsf they're self-locking

    I'll call to vw later and see if they have any.

    Engine's hopefully going in tomorrow so will it be ok to re-use the old ones??

    tell em these numbers:
    N 900 850 01 - hex nut, self-locking - 0.35 x8

    and if it wont search in their software, tell em to type it exactly like this:
    N 90085001 (2 spaces between the N and the number)

    and if they wanna look it up:

    Golf -> 1990 -> 02 - fuel, exhaust, cooling -> exhaust manifold, PL,KR,PG -> number 6

    or can type it up at the top

    model - GO
    year - 1990
    MG - 2
    SG - 53
    Illustration - 70-05
