I've used GVK's road wheels on the "Chugger" as I sold the p slots that were on it, so I have to use R888s in all weather in the black 'un!
No - forwards (understeers?) into hedgery! (Sorry G! I'm buying the round at the Lindenhof this year!)
Personal choice - you have yours and `we` have ours, pretty simple I would have thought - why get upset Boring .... but easy to clean Plain ...... can`t see them when I`m driving Skinny ... but correct size for the tyres I run and don`t detract from the car`s capability
Got G60 steels on mine. Needed a set of wheels that would be guaranteed to fit over G60 brakes so it made good sense to me. I also actually like the "look" of my car with them on. Each to their own at the end of the day.
I've had G60 steels on one VW or another for nearly 4 years now. One set are even the proper original ones with a different pattern on them, and not these passat ones that everyone runs now.... its not that i think they look uber good on the VW..... i just couldn't be arsed to buy another set of wheels just for the sakes of changing them. Though this is changing very soon, golf is coming off the road, its not going to be driven daily so i now don't mind owning a set of wheels that need to be kepted on top off regulary! Stef
not upset, just cant see any pro's of having them (except for maybe sleeper-ness) at all, as i said, for the price you could have some far nicer alloys, even at 30 a corner
u lot moan on here dont you. i like steelys, you can get away with putting steelys on dubs and they still look ace, where as other cars they are just naff. i like the whole sleeper look. any way, is it going to make ur car faster? and the steelys rnt that heavy. my th monos where the same weight. its all down to preferance.
