I've just heard the sad news that Geoff Everett, formerly of Automotive Developments (aka AmD) has passed away, aged 64, having beaten the odds by surviving brain cancer for over three and a half years.

Various members will I'm sure remember him fondly with his tuning work on VWs in the '80s/'90s, and some older folk will recall the racing Mk2s run by himself and business partner Mike Devine.

I'm sure that many of the older members will remember him fondly.

    Very sad really.
I remember speaking to him one year at TRL about ECU mapping when AMD had a blue mk2 16v running digifant injection (not that i knew anything about it)
    Gentleman he was.

    Sad news. RIP Geoff.

Geoff & Mike had a nice set up at the Oddington premises, set in a picturesque little village, and did some great work on my own & mates' motors.

Sad news of Geoff. Amd at Oddington were a great set up. They built my hillclimb car back in the mid 90s and did all the mapping work on my Audigolfhits 2.0 16V. I stopped going to AmD a number of years ago after Mike left, but Geoff was certainly great with the electronics and a tuning character. Two great VW tuners who have both now gone.
    RIP Geoff

    Geoff Everett

Just found out today, as I was talking with AmD Woking, about Geoff Everett.
Very sad to learn about his passing. He was a great guy. Both Geoff & Mike Devine pioneers in this field.
I met Geoff, Jan & Mike Devine years back (20+) when had Audis serviced tuned at Oddington I think. Used to drive there from London.
