i think it looks superb and admire the dude for being brave about doing something a bit different with the colour, would remove the brown rims on the wheels and grill.

Was that ever a genuine VAG colour?

Definately different from the rest, but not to my taste.

Has anyone seen the other Brown MK2 which was featured in PVW this month, with the carbon fibre small bumpers, ect... Looks quite tasty...

The car is nice, and the wheels are nice, but both together, it`s just [xx(] (IMO)

I know what you mean Stu, especially as they are painted brown. A nice set of BBS's or schmidt's modern lines would look far better imo.

Not overly keen on the first one; don't think such a grandadesq colour goes too well with big bumpers..

    Liking the second one more.

It's all about Nevada Beige FT epic W, though [8D]

The beige one above? They are Audi A8 winter wheels.

Nice spot Luke; didn't know that. 5x112mm fitment so the car in the pic is probably running adaptors.. there are some redrilled and refurbed ones on ebay; work looks well executed but would have been better had they plugged all the holes.

I was going to say, ouch! Second set not to bad pricewise, guessing these are quite desirable wheels. Really suit the beige car though.

Pretty rare wheels, weren't available over here, think they were only available in mainland Europe in countries where they have to change to winter tyres in winter.

Cheers for posting it up Mike!

For those that like the car and "get" it, then thanks, it was only ever meant as a bit of low budget fun and a car on which to carry out numerous experiments without really caring that much what other people think of it.

To those of you that don't get it, that's fine with me also. Everyone in and around the scene that knows me will know that it really isn't any skin off my nose whatsoever, and in a weird way i kind of like it when a few people disapprove for whatever reason as it only goes to prove i have created something outside the usual confines of what is excepted and indeed expected with a mk2 these days.

    That is a beautiful colour.

My last Saab 96 Two Stroke, 1967, was that colour. Saab called it 'Savanna Beige'.

Had to sell it, in 1973, to put the deposit on a house. Kept the wife's rotten Mini Cooper cos. it was worth less. Or, worthless!
