Glow plugs change

    Have been quoted 3 hours labour to change glow plugs
    on mk2 gtd.
    Is this Bull?
    I know 2 are not to hidden, 2 behind diesel pump
    look harder to remove.
    Can deisel pump be a pig to get out?

    I can't see putting 3 hours into changing glow plugs, but then again mine was a Mk1. Dunno if the layout changed much between the Mk1 and Mk2 diesels...

    takes about half an hour,theres only 1 awkward 1 behind the diesel pump on no1 cyl,changed mine last month

    george best holding the manual!
    Any tips as to best tools to use to remove them?

    LOL 3HOURS!!!!!! it took me half a hour on my mk3 td, which has the same thing where the punp is infront of 2 of them, just a bit of messing round with a spanner and all done!

    Did it on sunday, well 3 of them..
    had to buy new spanners to reach that far.
    and blew a fusable link on heating resistor.
    starts 1st time now.

    change the other one while your at it mate, worth it! it isnt as hard as it looks!
