Struggling to find a replacement one of these is leading me to consider how to repair it:

Does anybody know what material these are made from? Trying to find a suitable adhesive and want to avoid a bad bond or melting it.

    Cheers

Hot glue gun? The adhesive in the glue sticks isn't that nasty to the point where it will start fizzing. Can usually pick up a gun + some sticks cheap from the likes of home bargains in the craft Isle.

Superglued a bit on a parcel shelf the other day and nearly choked on the smoke/fumes! So don't use that.

Superglue all day long. Use the Everbuild stuff from Toolstation and get some superglue activator as well and it will take a couple of seconds.

Hot melt may be a little bulky, superglue might be brittle, look for something slightly flexible like E6000 or one of its family.
The activator with superglue is great, 10 second cure time.
Perhaps using the superglue to fix in a position but with other glue which cures slower may be an option, it's how we attach mouldings sometimes, pva with the odd spot of superglue for holding.
