Golf MK2 abf 16V agreed valuation policy

    Hi Guys,

    My Golf MK2 GTi which has had a full rebuild including the list below. The car was off the road since 2009 and Greenlight Insurance would no longer insure my golf because the no claims runs out after two years. I luckly managed to get insurance from Adrian Flux and mirrored my exisitng no claims from my nissan which has maxium no claims.

    My golf has had a agreed valuation of 3500, is that too low considering the the specifications list below?

    Engine

    Fully Rebuilt 2L 16V ABF engine
    ABF wiring loom
    ABF chipped ECU and transponer with key
    Lambda probe fitted to exhaust
    Piper X induction kit
    RED ignition leads
    TSR metal head gasket
    Polished and ported throttle body
    Recon gearbox 020
    Up rated Sachs clutch

    Golf G60 leather steering wheel
    Late mk2 red stripe GTi seats

    Shell fully re-sprayed in VW black 2011 by Chris Underwood motors, Bromley.
    Rear panel filled and smoothed
    De-badged front grill

    16V rear light clusters
    Hella 16V tinted black front and side indicators
    16V badges on glove box (MK2), rear panel and front grill (Mk3)
    Big Bumpers
    VW green tinted windows throughout
    VW green top tint windscreen

    Falcon 195 45 low profile tyres
    16 BBS RX alloy wheels

    Security

    CAT 1 Clifford concept 600 alarm system with window roll up, alloy wheel sensors and 3 point immobiliser.
    Tracker (but no longer subscribed to it)
    De-locked front door handles
    Door jam plates fitted

    Electric windows
    Electric mirrors with wiring loom and switch
    Central locking

    tot up what its cost you, and have a look what others with the same kind of spec and re build are going for, you will never get back what it has cost (mine has a wedge worth alot more than I could ever sell it for) but it does have an agreed value at a sensible price that would allow me to buy another of about the same spec
